RLG — Ross Law Group

Brendan C. Ross

Founder of the firm. Admitted in Illinois and Indiana and in the federal courts of both states.

Brendan C. Ross is an insurance coverage lawyer who represents carriers. Before founding Ross Law Group, he was a partner at a Chicago insurance litigation firm, where he built and led its Indiana practice.

He has advised carriers on hundreds of coverage matters, including the ones with the most riding on them—complex disputes involving multiple parties and policies, unsettled questions of law, and exposures where a missed detail is expensive. Carriers value his thorough treatment of the issues, his clarity in presenting them, and his responsiveness as the matter develops.

Before concentrating his practice on coverage, he defended product liability, premises liability, and construction cases in state and federal court, including at trial. He knows how an underlying case develops and what it will turn on, and that experience informs his coverage advice.

He has taken coverage disputes to judgment in the state and federal courts of Illinois and Indiana, both to confirm his client’s coverage position and to recover what another insurer should have paid. Because he litigates the questions he advises on, the position he recommends at the outset is one a carrier can defend in court.
